Tutorial for:
Watercolor Crayons -- Crayon Overstamping
This technique works great with two-step stamps to add a watercolor base with foreground definition.
Supplies:
- Two-Step Stamps
- Watercolor Crayons
- Spray Bottle (filled with water)
- Cardstock, any color
- Ink for "top" stamp
- Paper Towel
Optional: Heat Tool
Step One:
Mist stamp wth water.
Step Two:
Gently rub crayon over rubber of stamp, coloring completely.
Step Five:
Repeat process with.additional solid stamps as desired.
Step Three:
While still wet, stamp directly on the paper.
Step Four:
Two or three images may be stamped from the same color application. If the stamp seems dry, mist it with a little more water.
Step Six:
If the stamps have too much water, dab with paper towel to remove excess water.
Step Seven:
Allow images to dry; use heat tool to speed drying time, if desired.
Step Eight:
Using a color that coordinates with the bottom stamp, ink top stamp.
Step Nine:
Stamp onto cardstock. Stamp all of the bottom images with coordinating top (second step) stamps.
Optional:
To soften images, mist images with water.
