Tutorial for:
Watercolor Crayons -- Aquapainted Rubber
Painting color & water direct-to-rubber results in a soft watercolor look that is wonderful for backgrounds and main images alike.
Supplies:
- Stamps (solid or nearly solid work best)
- Watercolor Crayons
- Spray Bottle (filled with water)
- Cardstock, any color
- AquaPainter/Water Brush (filled with water)
Optional: Heat Tool
Step One:
Mist stamp wth water.
Step Two:
Using AquaPainter, squeeze barrel gently to moisten brush. Run the bristles directly over the crayons to pick up color.
Step Four:
If desired, pick up additional colors with the AquaPainter and apply directly to rubber. Use colors to highlight and shade.
Step Three:
Paint the color directly on the rubber stamp.
Step Seven
Two or three images may be stamped from the same color application; if the stamp seems dry, mist it with a little more water.
Step Five:
Spray stamp to moisten and "move" colors.
Step Six:
Stamp directly onto cardstock.
Step Seven:
Allow images to dry thoroughly. A heat tool may be used to speed drying.   Finish card as desired.  The water colored images may be stamped on directly with ink, if desired.
Step Eight:
Repeat coloring and stamping images with remaining stamps and colors, as desired.
